Sunday in Vallais
Sion, Eggishorn, September 26, 2010 |  | Sunday morning went with Ilze to go to the mountains. At first we stopped at Sion to watch sunrise, then Ilze called home, woke up Fabrice and further we went already three of us. At first to Brig, then Mörel where we took a cable car up to Riederalp. From there we took a three hour walk to Fiescheralp that turned out to be quite challenging, particularly a climb for about an hour through the snow. But we happily arrived and took a cable car to the top of cloudy Eggishorn. Not much of a view already, just clouds and fog. |
Pulau Macan
June-July, 2010 |  | Macan means big cats - tigers, leopards, etc., so we could say Panther Island. Currently on the island there were no bigger animals than a meter long lizard and a couple of house cats. A mix of my photos, those of Fifi and even some photos taken by Ethan. |
Mudskippers
pulau Macan Gundul |  | These are fish that feel better out of water than inside and like to sit in trees... ok not on the top branches, but rather on the roots. Pretty impressive anyway. The big ones reach about 20 cm. |

Looking in the small viewfinder, trying to find and focus on fish and at the same time avoiding to get a lungful of water is not a very simple task, The water mostly was not very transparent, but still start to get some reasonable photos. |
